BLUE RIDGE HUNT HUNTER PACE EVENTS

First Race - HUNTER PACE EVENT OVER FENCES - 12:00 PM

About 2 1/2 miles over flagged hunting country. Catch weights. NO SCHOOLING ALLOWED. The course may be walked after Noon on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at which time course maps will be available in a mailbox set just inside the entrance to Lakeville. Horses and riders must have fairly hunted during the current season with any foxhound or beagle pack or pony club. There will be three divisions of pairs run in the following order: Adult Fast Time, Adult/Junior or Junior/Junior Optimum Time and Adult Optimum Time. Teams must declare division at time of entry. Trophies and rosettes to each winning pair member in each division. Rosettes throught sixth place. POST ENTRIES will be accepted but only pre-entries will be awarded points year-end Hunter Pace Championships. Entry fee must be paid to secretary and a release form signed before a number pinney will be issued. Entry fee $50 per pair.

Second Race - HUNTER PACE EVENT ON THE FLAT

About 2 miles over natural hunting country on the flat using gates and gaps. The nearby jumps are optional. NO SCHOOLING ALLOWED. Course may be walked after Noon on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at which time course maps will be available in a mailbox set just inside the entrance to Lakeville. One division of pairs including adults, juniors, or adult/junior combination. Optimum time only. Post entries and cross entries will be accepted, but will not count toward year-end Championships. Entry fee must be paid to secretary and a release form signed before a number pinney will be issued. Entry fee $50 per pair.

DIRECTIONS

From the West: From Rt. 340 and Rt. 50 intersection, travel East on Rt. 50 for 4.75 miles. Turn right on Lakeville Farm Lane. Parking will be in a meadow .5 mile down driveway on the left.

From the East: Travel on Rt. 50 W/Rt. 17 N crossing the Shenadoah River. Go 0.9 mile to the 3rd possible left cross over. Turn left, making a U-Turn back onto Rt. 50 E and go back 0.2 mile. Turn right on Lakeville Farm Lane. As above.
