Brie’s Mission was the early leader by as much as 7L. Who’s Counting remained second most of the race until the last fence when he passed the leader to win by 1 1/2L. Volantis early in the race ran in second position but tired by the last finishing fourth. Lord Narcisse rallied a little to be third.

Solomon’s Choice decided to take the lead, By the 6th fence he lead by 4L. Ladsfirstlove happy to follow in second until the 8th fence. That’s Not Funny steadied until the last to rally and finish second. Third was Righthere Rightnow. Winner by 1/2L.

Kajus broke earliest but lost his rider at the second, leaving Consolation Prize to inherit the lead. Consolation Prize went on to win by 2L threatened only once between the ninth and tenth fence. Carnane finished second and third was Sir Lenny.

Union Bulldog first from the drop of the flag. Held his lead with only one threat when Northern Thunder joined him on the fourth lap at fence 19. Dreams Delivered and Icandothat followed. All the horses except Icandothat jumped the first fence a 4th time. A fence not on the prescribed course. These were disqualified and Icandothat decalred the winner.

These two exchanged the lead twice during the race as these horses remained in close quarters nearly as a team going to the last. Made to be Lucky lost his rider. Holey Moley finished first by 5L and City of Grace was second.
